Soup Swap Party

Soup Swap Party

Hanging with my girlfriends is good. Hanging with my girlfriends when there’s food involved is great!! I thought I’d combine two of my favorite things (my girlfriends and food) and host a Soup Swap Party.

The idea was simple enough. Invite people over and tell them to bring soup to share. Easy.

What started out as 9 of us gals getting together ended up being just the 4 of us. So, it was an intimate get-together, not so much a party but who cares? We still had fun!!

My friend Barb brought Creamy Potato soup. Kim brought White Chicken Chili. Mandy brought Chicken Enchilada soup. And I made Alton Brown’s Winter Vegetable soup.

Each lady brought enough soup for everyone to take home a one quart container. We had lots of fixins for the soups.

I had originally thought there would be lots of ladies so I bought some prizes over at my local Family Christian store. I thought it would be fun to have everyone vote on Best Tasting, Most Creative and Honorable Mention. Because it was just the four of us, I let the ladies each pick a prize as a thank you for coming.

Mandy got the super cute Mother Towel

Barb got this cute Faith, Family, Friends decoration
Kim got the Serve One Another salt and pepper shakers.

I liked those salt and pepper shakers so much I had to get some for myself! Take another look above at my table and you’ll see them sitting on my table. So cute!

Oh! And that dish that’s holding the cheese, onions and crackers? This is what it looks like when not being used.

Super cute huh? It also came from Family Christian. I’m loving the new Springy things in the store!

We all had a really great time and plan to do it again in few couple months. Only next time we’ll be swapping cookies and drinking hot chocolate!
