Summer – The Season Of Unproductivity

I love summer, don’t get me wrong, but it’s so much harder for me to get things done when the weather is nice.

The kids and I love to be outside playing, reading, planting, swimming . . . everything is more enjoyable when it’s done out of doors. Which means things that must be done inside tend to go undone. The laundry piles up, the dusting goes undone and the freezer cooking . . . forget about it!

Please tell me I’m not the only one.

During the summer months, we spent most of our mornings outside and then come inside for lunch. After lunch, we do a bit of reading, some tidying, and I try to catch up on my emails. Our productivity usually ends there.

I feel like I’m in a rut. An “I’ll get to that tomorrow” kind of rut. Tomorrow doesn’t seem to be coming.

I need a maid help.

What do you do to keep on track during the summer? Give me some ideas!
