I’ve had so many requests for our weekly large family meal plan– like, the meals we actually eat each week. Well, guess what y’all, I’ve decided it’s time to start doing just that!
This week’s large family meal plan
Monday- nothing special
- Breakfast: pancakes and sausage
- Lunch: quesadillas, carrots, cucumbers, ranch and hummus, pears
- Snack: hot chocolate and graham crackers
- Dinner: Cheeseburger Pie (we read The Millers books during the school year and one story we recently read gave the recipe for Cheeseburger Pie, so of course, we have to make it), salad, oven bread
Tuesday- homeschool co-op
- Breakfast: eggs and toast
- Lunch: hotdogs, popcorn, applesauce, cucumbers
- Snack: fruit bar/granola bar
- Dinner: tacos, Mexican rice, black beans
Wednesday- library day
- Breakfast: baked oats and bacon
- Lunch: burrito in a bowl (using taco leftovers)
- Snack: apple and cheese stick
- Dinner: bowtie kielbasa bake
Thursday- nothing special
- Breakfast: french toast and sausage
- Lunch: macaroni and cheese, gogurts
- Snack: pretzels and cream cheese
- Dinner: orange chicken, rice, steamed veg
Friday- having some family over for pumpkin carving, caramel apple dipping/decorating, and game night
- Breakfast: eggs and toast
- Lunch: grilled cheese, veggie straws, apples
- Snack: parfaits (homemade yogurt, granola, frozen berries)
- Dinner: Pizza
Saturday- my workday (from home)
- Breakfast: cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole
- Lunch: leftovers
- Snack: Chex mix
- Dinner: leftovers
A few notes about our menu . . .
- we have the same breakfast, lunch, and snack each day for a few months at a time (they typically change with the season)- this helps the kids know what to expect, and makes grocery shopping so much easier!
- many of the meals are premade on my freezer cooking days. You can find my latest freezer cooking Friday post here.
The above is what’s currently in my snack drawer. I pick up a few boxes of snack bars at the discount store and the kids can pick the bar of their choice on granola/fruit bar snack day.
